COMPOSITION
Teknovet Atropin Injectable Solution is a clear, colorless, sterile solution. Each ml contains 2 mg of atropine sulfate.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Teknovet Atropin Injectable Solution is used in horse, cattle, sheep, goat, dog and cat; in pain, intestinal and uterus spasms, in colic as spasmolytic, to slow bowel peristaltic in colic and diarrhea, to obtain mydriasis for examining the eye, in order to reduce salivary and bronchial secretions and vagovagal reflexes in surgical anesthesia, as preanesthetic agent to prevent the negative effects of vagal tonus on heart (especially succesful to use with analgesic drugs before surgical anesthesia of cats and dogs with trauma), in the differentiation of various bradycardia types (in bradycardia of organic heart disease, pulse is accelerated within half an hour after injection), in order to stimulate heart and respiratory system movements, for the temporary relief of respiration by expanding the bronchi in animals with chronic emphysema especially horses, as an antidote in poisonings with organic phosphorus and carbamate group insecticides, as an antidote in morphine, pilocarpine, arecoline and chloroform poisonings.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Unless recommended otherwise by the veterinarian, pharmacological dose of atropine sulfate is between 0.03 – 0.2 mg/kg. However, routes of administration and dosage vary according to animal species and indications. Application dose as an antidote is higher. It is applied for the general indications (anticholinergic effect), at the dose of 0.03 - 0.16 mg/kg subcutaneously (SC), for the organic phosphorus and carbamate group insecticide poisonings intravenously (IV) and for other poisonings at the dose of 0.1 - 0.6 mg/kg subcutaneously (SC). Repeated doses should be done following the atropinisation indication and depending on the decline of the poisoning symptoms. It is given as a preanesthetic agent, via intramuscular (IM), subcutaneous (SC) and intravenous (IV) routes to dogs and cats at the dose of 0.045 to 0.06 mg/kg, to sheep and goats only intravenously (IV) at the dose of 0.2 mg/kg, to horses only intravenously (IV) at the dose of 0.1 mg/kg.

Withdrawal period for meat and milk is 0 (zero) days following the last treatment.
