COMPOSITION
Kafemet Injectable Solution is a clear, colorless solution. Each ml contains 250 mg of caffeine, and sodium benzoate as preservative.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
It is used as a stimulant in all cases where the central nervous system and the respiratory center should be stimulated. It is used as a stimulant in case of collapse, atony, paralysis, in poisonings with narcotics such as morphine, chloroform and alcohol, and sedative substances, in acute and chronic heart deficiencies and as a heart stimulant in pulmonary deficiencies. For this purpose, it is sometimes combined with cardiotonic glycosides. Since it increases the urine amount, it is administered as solo or in combination with other diuretics and heart glycosides especially in ascites cases.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Unless recommended otherwise by the veterinarian, the pharmacological dose of caffeine is 5 - 15 mg/kg bw. It is administered subcutaneously (SC) as a single dose.

Withdrawal periods in cattle, sheep and goats are 0 (zero) days for meat and milk.

Sold as 20 ml, 50 ml and 100 ml in colorless glass vials and 250 ml in colorless polyethylene terephthalate vial inside cardboard boxes.
