COMPOSITION
Fishflorfen 50% Oral Granule / Veterinary Medicated Premix is a white - cream colored granule, containing 500 mg of florfenicol per 1 g.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Fishflorfen %50 Oral Granule is effective against a large number of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria causing diseases in freshwater (trout and carp) and marine fish (gilthead seabream, sea bass, turbot, salmon, red seabream).
In Trout: Used in the treatment of Furunculosis (
Aeromonas salmonicida), red mouth disease (
Yersinia ruckerii, yersiniosis), bacterial hemorrhagic septicemia (
Aeromonas hydrophila, A. punctata, A. sobria, Pseudomonas sp.), columnaris disease (
Flexibacter columnaris), cold water vibriosis (
Vibrio salmonicida), ulcer disease (
Haemophilus piscium), diseases caused by
Lactococcus sp. and
Enterococcus sp., rainbow trout fry syndrome (
Cytophaga psychrophila), and edwardsiellosis.
In Seabream and Sea Bass: Used in the treatment of Vibriosis (
Vibrio anguillarum, V. alginolyticus, V. ordalii, V. vulnificus, Vibrio sp.), pasteurellosis (
Photobacterium damselae subsp. piscicida), marine flexibacteriosis (
Tenacibaculum maritimum), winter diseases (
Pseudomonas anguilliseptica), streptococcosis (
Streptococcus iniae, Streptococcus faecalis), and bacterial gill disease (
Flexibacter sp.,
Cytophaga sp.)."
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Unless otherwise recommended by a veterinarian, Fishflorfen 50% Oral Granules are administered by incorporating 10 mg florfenicol per kg of live weight into the daily feed for a period of 10 days. Fishflorfen can be added to the feed before pelleting or extrusion, or applied in spray form to the pellet surface after pelleting. The recommended feeding rate is approximately 0.5% of the total weight of the fish.
The medicated feed rate may vary based on water temperature and the weight of the fish. Fish should be fasting for 12 - 24 hours before administering the medicated feed.
Pharmacological dose: 10 mg florfenicol/kg lw/day.
Practical dose: Applied by mixing 0.02 g/kg live weight into fish feed

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
Drug Residue Purification Time (D.R.P.T.) Fish should not be offered for human consumption during the treatment period and after the last drug administration until the total daily water temperatures reach 500 °C (drug residue purification time is 500 °C / day for fish meat).
MARKETING PACKAGING
It is offered in 20 g white polyethylene bottles and 10 x 100 g aluminum foil bags in cardboard boxes and in white polyethylene drums of 500 g, 1 kg and 5 kg without boxes.
