COMPOSITION
Each yellow colored tablet with a notch line in the middle contains 300 mg praziquantel.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Tenisil 300 Oral Tablet is used for;
Sheep:
- Tapeworms living in small intestines and bile ducts Moniezia expansa, M. benedeni, Stilesia globipunctata, S. hepatica (bile duct tapeworm), Avitellina centripunctata, Avitellina sp., Thysaniezia sp.,
- Eliminating the symptoms of disease caused by Coenurus cerebralis located in brain and Cysticercus tenuicollis located in the liver,
- Vascular trematodes Schistosoma sp., Orientobilharzia sp.,
- Against Dicrocoelium dentriticum at higher doses than the therapeutic doses.
Horse:
Treatment and control of parasitic infections caused by tapeworms living in intestines Paranoplocephala mamillana, Anoplocephala magna and Anoplocephala perfoliata.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Pharmacologic dose of Tenisil 300 Oral Tablet in sheeps is 15 mg praziquantel / kg body weight / day, in horses 1 mg praziquantel / kg bw / day, practical dose in sheeps is 1 tablet for 20 kg bw, in horses 1 tablet for 300 kg bw. Tablets can be used by dividing from the middle. In order to eliminate the symptoms of the diseases caused by Coenurus cerebralis and Cysticercus tenuicollis (peritoneum cysticercoids), it is applied at the dose of 50 – 100 mg/kg bw for 2 – 5 days. It is applied at the dose of 50 mg/kg body weight against Dicrocoelium dentriticum. It should be applied at the dose of 25 mg/kg bw for 3 days against vascular trematodes. Unless advised otherwise by the veterinarian practical doses are shown in the table below.
If needed, application can be repeated after 6 – 8 weeks in tapeworm treatment.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
Following drug administration, withdrawal period for sheep meat and milk is 0 (zero) days.
MARKETING PACKAGING
Sold as 10, 20, 50 and 100 tablets as each 5 tablets in aluminium foil covered PVC blister packs inside cardboard boxes.
