COMPOSITION
Maximec Injectable Solution is a clear, colorless or pale yellow colored solution. Each ml contains 20 mg of ivermectin (80% 22,23-dihydro-avermectin B1a and 20% 22,23-dihydro-avermectin B1b).
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Maximec Injectable Solution is used in cattle and sheep for the treatment and control of internal and external parasites listed below:
Cattle
Gastrointestinal roundworms: Haemonchus placei, Ostertagia sp., O. ostertagi (adults, larvae stages, hypobiotic larvae), O. lyrate (adults, L4 larvae), Mecistocirrus digitatus (adults), Trichostrongylus axei, T. colubriformis, Cooperia oncophora, C. punctata, C. pectinata, Cooperia spp., Nematodirus helvetianus (adults), N. spathiger (adults), Oesophagostomum radiatum, Strongyloides papillosus (adults), Bunostomum phlebotomum, Toxocara vitulorum
Lung worms: Dictyocaulus viviparus
Filariasis factors in the skin: Parafilaria bovicola
Eyeworms: Thelazia spp. (adults)

ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Maximec Injectable solution is administered to cattle and sheep by intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous (SC) injection. Asepsis and antiseptic conditions should be provided during the application. A dry, sterile injection needle and syringe must be used.
Administer at the dose of 0.2 mg ivermectin/kg bw, i.e. 1 ml Maximec Injectable solution / 100 kg bw, unless recommended otherwise by the veterinarian.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
Cattle and sheep should not be slaughtered for human consumption during the treatment and for 35 and 42 days after the last treatment, respectively. Do not use in lactating cows and ewes producing milk for human consumption.
