COMPOSITION
The cardboard plate that prepared in a size of 20 x 10 cm contains 265 mg of amitraz (N-methyl-bis (2,4-xylyliminomethyl) amine).
INDICATIONS FOR USE
It is used against bee mite (Varroa jacobsoni Oudemans), which live as parasitic on honey bee (Apis mellifera L.) and damage honey bees in larval and adult stages.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
A carton plate in empty bellows is burnt from one end. Seven doses of smoke are applied as a blow into the flight hole of hive, and passed rapidly through to other hives. Approximately 10 hives are medicated per minute. There is no need to close the flight hole of the hive after use of the medicine. On the bees, there is no negative effect of 7-8 smoke pulses coming from bellows. Medication should be repeated 3 times with 3 days interval. If the Varroa density is too high, the medication should be applied 4 times with 3 days intervals. For log or skep hives 3 to 4 smoke pulses are sufficient.
In the winter months, all Varroa adults are on the worker bees because there is no larval cell. To take advantage of this situation, when the Rulamit-VA is applied at temperatures above 14 ° C in winter, the pest density considerably reduced in hive. No medication should be applied in June - September before honey harvest in summer.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
Honey should not be consumed for 30 days after the last drug administration.
