COMPOSITION
Each hive strip, prepared in 3 x 20 cm size, contains 3.6 mg Flumethrin.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
It is used in the treatment of varroosis caused by Varroa destructor which is sensitive to flumethrin in honey bees.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Fumbee Bee-Hive Strip is designed for use inside the hive.
The strips should be hung as shown below, each placed in the center line of the frames in the hive, positioned between two frames so that they contact the bees on both sides, and kept separate from each other by passing a stick through the hole in the middle of the strip. Ensure that the strips are evenly distributed throughout the hive, targeting areas where the bees are dense and active.
For weak or swarm colonies (4-5 fully filled frames with bees): use 2 strips per hive.
For normal and strong bee colonies (6 or more fully filled frames with bees): use 3-4 strips per hive.
Strips should be left in the colonies for 6 weeks and must be removed afterward. As the Varroa population in the colony decreases, the number of Varroa mites falling onto the hive's bottom board will also decrease. Factors such as infested drones from outside the hive and robbing adult bees can prolong the treatment process by facilitating the spread of Varroa infestation. As the intensity of mite infestation increases in surrounding apiaries, the need for repeated treatment will also increase. This product is suitable for mass treatment, integrated mite management, and rotational use.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
Do not use during the honey flow (nectar flow) and pollen collection period. After treatment, honey and other bee products intended for human consumption should not be produced until spring. Care should be taken to ensure that the strips do not come into contact with honey intended for human consumption.
