COMPOSITION
Canker Guard 100 Powder for Oral Solution is a white to off-white or yellowish powder. Each gram contains 100 mg ronidazole.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
For the treatment and prevention of trichomoniosis (Corpcanker) and spironucleosis (hexamitiasis) in pigeons and cage birds.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Administered orally, via drinking water.
Treatment: Add 4 g (1 level spoonful) of product to 2 litres of drinking water for 6 days.
Prevention: Add 4 g (1 level spoonful) of product to 2 litres of drinking water for 3 days once a month.
Cage birds: Add 4 g (1 level spoonful) of product to 2 litres of drinking water for 5 days.
To ensure uniform water intake for all animals, an adequate number of drinking places must be provided.
The animals must be kept in the pen during treatment. Intake of non-medicated water must be prevented.
After completion of treatment, the drinking system must be cleaned appropriately in order to prevent intake of subtherapeutic residual quantities, especially residues that may promote resistance.
