Veterinary Systemic Antibacterial
COMPOSITION
Dipenstrep LA Injectable Suspension is a white – cream colored, sterile suspension. Each ml contains 100 mg penicillin G procaine [benzylpenicillin (procaine) monohydrate], 100 mg penicillin G benzathine [benzylpenicillin (benzathine) tetrahydrate], and 200 mg dihydrostreptomycin sulfate.

INDICATIONS FOR USE
It is used in cattle, horse, sheep and dogs in the treatment of respiratory system infections including pneumonias caused by bacteria sensitive to penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin, gastrointestinal system infections, skin and soft tissue infections (umblical infections, wounds, abscesses, foot infections, joint inflammations), post-operative infections, listeriosis, leptospirosis, meningitis, septicemia, as parenteral supplement in mastitis, urogenital system infections (cystitis, metritis), enteritis together with salmonella, salmonellosis and secondary bacterial infections due to viral infections.
 
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Shake the vial vigorously before use. Unless advised otherwise by the veterinarian, it is applied practically at the dose of 1 ml / 20 kg bw via intramuscular (IM) route. Usually one dose is sufficient but in serious cases second dose can be applied after 3 days. Asepsis and antisepsis should be taken into account during administration.
 
Cattle and sheep should not be slaughtered for human consumption during the treatment and for 60 days following the last treatment. Cow and sheep milk should not be used for human consumption during the treatment and for 15 days (30 milkings) following the last treatment. As the withdrawal period for milk is long, it is not recommended to use in cow and sheep producing milk for human consumption.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
Cattle and sheep should not be slaughtered for human consumption during the treatment and for 60 days following the last treatment. Cow and sheep milk should not be used for human consumption during the treatment and for 15 days (30 milkings) following the last treatment. As the withdrawal period for milk is long, it is not recommended to use in cow and sheep producing milk for human consumption.

Sold as 50 ml, 100 ml and 250 ml in colorless glass vials inside cardboard boxes.
