Veterinary Antibacterial for Lactation Period
COMPOSITION
Betaseft LC is a near white, slightly yellow, oily, viscous, homogeneous, sterile ointment. Each 8 g syringe contains 88.92 mg cefquinome sulfate equivalent to 75 mg cefquinome.

INDICATIONS FOR USE
Betaseft LC Intramammary Ointment is used for the treatment of clinical mastitis in the lactating dairy cow caused by the following cefquinome susceptible microorganisms: Streptococcus uberis, Streptococcus dysgalactiae, Staphylococcus aureus,  and Escherichia coli.
 
ADMINISTRATION ROUTE AND DOSE
For intramammary use.
 
The contents of one intramammary syringe should be infused gently into the teat of the infected quarter every 12 hours after each of three consecutive milkings. The application is performed three times in total, at 12-hour intervals.
 
Milk out the infected quarter(s). After thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting the teat
and teat orifice,  remove the product's cap without touching the nozzle with your fingers. Gently infuse the contents of one syringe into each affected quarter.Disperse the product by gentle massage of the teat and udder of the affected animal.
 
The intramammary syringe must only be used once. Partly used intramammary syringes should be discarded.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
Cattle should not be slaughtered during treatment and for 4 days following the last drug administration. Cow's milk obtained within 5 days (10 milkings) should not be offered for human consumption.

MARKETING PACKAGING
It is offered for sale in cardboard boxes containing 4 single-use, white 8 g low-density polyethylene (LDPE) syringes, and in white plastic containers with lids containing 30 single-use, white 8g low-density polyethylene (LDPE) syringes.
