COMPOSITION
Amoxygen Injectable Suspension, which is white to cream-colored, yellowish, sterile, and oily, contains amoxicillin trihydrate equivalent to 150 mg of amoxicillin and gentamicin sulfate equivalent to 40 mg of gentamicin per ml. It also contains 10 mg of benzyl alcohol (E1519) as a preservative, and 0.08 mg of butylhydroxytoluene (E321) and 0.08 mg of butylhydroxyanisole (E320) as antioxidant.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Amoxygen Injectable Suspension is used in the following conditions in cattle, horse, sheep and goat.
Cattle; for the treatment of pneumonia, diarrhoea, bacterial enteritis, mastitis, metritis and cutaneous abscesses.
Sheep and goats; for the treatment of pneumonia, diarrhoea, bacterial enteritis, pasteurellosis and colibacillosis.
Horses: for the treatment of pneumonia, diarrhoea, bacterial enteritis, genito-urinary infections. Strangles, Cutaneous abscesses and Foot infections.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Before use, shake the bottle thoroughly to obtain a homogeneous mixture. Administered only by intramuscular route. Practically, 1 ml of the product is administered for every 10 kg of body weight. The treatment duration is 3 days.
Sheep and Goats: 5 to 10 ml/adult animal/day; and 1 to 5 ml/young animal/day.
Cattle: 30 to 40 ml/adult animal/day; and 10 to 15 ml/calf/day.
Horses: 30 to 50 ml/adult animal/day; and 5 to 15 ml/foal/day.
Massage should be applied to the injection site after injection. If the volume to be administered is greater than 20 ml, it should be divided into two or more injection sites.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
The withdrawal period for meat is 30 days and for milk is 2 days.
