COMPOSITION
Ketojezik is a colorless, clear and sterile solution. Each ml contains 100 mg of ketoprofen.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Ketojezik Injectable Solution is used in cattle and horses as anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic for tendon, musculoskeletal system pain and inflammation and rheumatic disorders, aseptic inflammations of joints (in horses, for traumatic arthritis - synovitis, tendinitis, osteochondritis dissecans, osselets, laminitis, soft tissue swellings, post-operative inflammation and to reduce the pain in colic due to various reasons, at the same time for the treatment of ocular inflammations such as uveitis, keratitis and traumatic corneal ulceration), as supportive along with antibacterial treatment in respiratory system infections accompanied by high fever and in other febrile illnesses, in order to relieve acute inflammation in endotoxic shock, control of acute inflammations related to colibacillosis, pneumonia and chronic obstructive respiratory system diseases, in acute bovine pulmonary emphysema (fog fever), acute mastitis, as additional treatment in mammary edema, in pain due to gastrointestinal system disorders.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Ketojezik Injectable Solution; is applied intramuscular (IM) and slow intravenous (IV) route to cattle and horses. Unless recommended otherwise by the veterinarian, general pharmacological dose of ketoprofen is 2.2 mg/kg bw in horses and 3 mg/kg bw in cattle. Treatment should be continued untill after the day the symptoms disappear. Practical doses are given in the table below.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
Cattle should not be slaughtered for human consumption during the treatment and for 1 days after the last intravenous administration and 4 days after the last intramuscular administration. Withdrawal period for milk is 0 (zero) days.
