Ketojezik®

Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory, Analgesic and Antipyretic
COMPOSITION
Ketojezik is a colorless, clear, and sterile solution, containing 100 mg of ketoprofen and 2.5 mg of benzyl alcohol (E1519) as a preservative per ml.

INDICATIONS FOR USE
Cattle
  • the supportive treatment of parturient paresis associated with calving,
  • alleviation of pain and fever in bacterial respiratory system infections, in conjunction with appropriate etiological treatment,
  • improving the recovery in acute clinical mastitis, including acute endotoxin mastitis, caused by gram-negative micro-organisms, in conjunction with antimicrobial therapy
  • reducing oedema of the udder associated with calving,
  • osteoarticular and musculoskeletal system pains,
  • facilitation of postpartum recovery.
 
Horse
Diseases affecting the osteoarticular and muscular-skeletal system associated with acute pain and inflammation:
  • lameness of traumatic origin
  • arthritis
  • osteitis, swollen knee
  • tendinitis, bursitis
  • naviculitis
  • laminitis
  • myositis
It is also indicated for post-surgical inflammation, symptomatic therapy of colic and fever.
                                                                                                       
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Cattle:
It is administered intramuscularly or intravenously at a dose of 3 mg/kg body weight/day (practically 3 ml per 100 kg body weight) for up to 3 days.
 
Horse:
It is administered intravenously at a dose of 2.2 mg/kg body weight/day (practically, 1 ml per 45 kg body weight) for 3-5 days. It should not be repeated in cases of colic unless confirmed to be clinically necessary and appropriate.
 
Not more than 5 ml should be administered at one intramuscular injection site.
 
For reduction of post-operative pain the product should be injected 10 - 30 minutes before surgical intervention.
To avoid overdose, appropriate syringes should be used and body weight should be accurately calculated.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
Cattle should not be slaughtered for human consumption during the treatment and for 1 days after the last intravenous administration and 4 days after the last intramuscular administration. Withdrawal period for milk is 0 (zero) days.

MARKETING PACKAGING

Sold as 50 ml, 100 ml, and 250 ml Type II amber glass vials, closed with bromobutyl rubber stopper and  aluminum flip-off cap inside cardboard boxes.
