COMPOSITION
Metafos Injectable Solution is a clear or pale yellow colored solution. Each ml contains 200 mg of toldimfos sodium (sodium-4-dimethylamino-2-methylphenyl-phosphate). The organically bound phosphorous ratio of the active ingredient is 14%.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Metafos Injectable Solution; is used in cattle, horses, sheep, goats, cats and dogs, in the treatment of main phosphorus deficiencies and as a result the development of osteomalacia and rickets cases, nervous system disorders, calcium-phosphorus balance disorders, general asthenia and also in the treatment of hypophosphatemia cases commonly seen in ruminants. It is an effective source of phosphorus used in order to meet the need of multifaceted phosphorus development in young animals during rapid development and growth period; in high yielding animals, especially in cases of hypophosphatemia encountered in dairy cows; in cases of diseases with excess phosphorus excretion; it is also used in order to support the general situation, in reproductive disorders, convalescence period, calcium and magnesium metabolism disorders.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Metafos Injectable Solution, is administered by deep intramuscular (IM), intravenous (IV) or subcutaneous (SC) routes to all animal species at the dose of 10 mg/kg bw.
Unless advised otherwise by the veterinarian, practical doses are as follows:
The application can be continued for 2 - 3 days. In chronic cases, the indicated doses can be repeated once in every 2 to 3 days for 5 to 10 times can be applied until a obvious clinical improvement is seen in sick animals. Intramuscular injections in horses should be done by dividing into several regions.

Withdrawal period for meat and milk is 0 (zero) days.
