Blotsim

Blotsim Oral Emulsion is a red colored, viscous, fluid emulsion. Each ml contains 100 mg of simethicone (dimethylpolysiloxane).

 

It is indicated in horses for the treatment of accumulated excessive gas related to nourishment; in cattle, sheep and goats for the treatment of frothy tympanies in rumen resulting from consuming plenty of green grass especially in spring, being put out to grass incautiously at arable fields in summer and consuming excessive amounts of green leguminosae plants such as clover and alfalfa.

 

Blotsim Oral Emulsion is used for both therapeutic and prophylactic purposes in bloat cases related to excessive gas accumulation in horses and ruminants. For prophylactic purposes, apply before sending animals out to pasture especially in spring. Mix with about 1 liter of water and administer by rubber stomach tube or bottle through the mouth or administer to the rumen or cecum directly in serious cases. Before administering directly to rumen or cecum, remove a little amount of gas via trocar and give the undiluted emulsion using trocar afterwards. Generally, a single application is sufficient.

 

Withdrawal period for meat and milk is 0 (zero) days following the last treatment.

 

Sold as 100 ml in white colored polyethylene bottle inside cardboard box, 250 ml and 500 ml in white colored polyethylene bottles without boxes.
