COMPOSITION
Amoxygen Injectable Suspension is a white – cream, yellowish colored, sterile, oily suspension. Each ml contains amoxicillin trihydrate equivalent to 150 mg of amoxicillin and gentamicin sulfate equivalent to 40 mg of gentamicin.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Amoxygen Injectable Suspension is used in cattle and horses for the treatment of respiratory, gastrointestinal, urogenital system infections and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive bacteria. It is mainly used in pasteurellosis, colibacillosis, salmonellosis, foot infections and abscesses.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS
Amoxygen Injectable Suspension is administered to cattle and horses as deep intramuscular injection (IM) for 3 days, unless advised otherwise by the veterinarian.
Practically; 1 ml / 10 kg bw for calves and foals, 5 ml / 50 kg bw for cattle and horses.
Shake the vial vigorously to obtain a homogenous mixture. Injections more than 5 ml in calves and foals and injections more than 20 ml in cattle and horses should be divided and administered to different sites. Dosing should be done carefully, especially in small animals. Overdosing should be avoided. Do not use intravenously (IV).
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S)
Cattle should not be slaughtered for human consumption during the treatment and for 80 days following the last treatment. Cow milk should not be used for human consumption during the treatment and for 4 days (8 milkings) following the last treatment.
